Pilates Exercises

Pilates will dramatically change the way your body looks, feels and performs. You will become stronger without the excess bulk. Your stomach will get flatter, you’ll slim down those hips and thighs and you will begin to move about more gracefully as your body takes on the long, lean look of a dancer.

The mind and body connection teaches you awareness of your posture and movement. Being mindful at all times of your core muscles. Pilates improves flexibility, coordination and range of motion. It has even been known to alleviate back pain.

I incorporate Pilates into many of my exercises. Once I began practicing Pilates and became aware of my core muscles, exercising was much less strenuous and a lot more enjoyable.

If you are wondering what the heck I am referring to when I say core muscles, these muscles can be found in your belly and your back. These powerhouse muscles are responsible for your ability to bend over and reach up or across the table for an item.

Using your mind to control your body is essential in Pilates. When you mentally engage your core muscles, they tighten and pull inward. As you progress through the Pilates exercises, these muscles become stronger and longer, adding strength and flexibility.

The beautiful bonus that Pilates offers is the transformation of your body. Slim, sleek and sexy will illustrate the way that you look. Lithe and agile will describe the way that you move about. It’s no wonder that dancer’s have kept this secret to themselves for all of these years.
